Olivia Riley

 My AWESOME husband suggested we go on a road trip so that I could see my newest niece. It was such a treat to go and see my sister and her daughter Olivia Riley. It was even more of a treat to take pictures of this beautiful gift from heaven. She is such a trooper and gave us a great afternoon full of wonderful clicks of the camera. Jon and Tricia are already wonderful parents and will no doubt give baby Olivia a wonderful life!

I thought since it was a very cloudy day and I wasn't getting good natural lighting I would work on my White Balance. It's something that I have really struggled with and could not for the life of me figure out. I decided I would venture out and go into the custom WB mode on my camera. I set the K to several different settings until I found one that would work for me. This first picture was taken on an Auto WB mode but the color was very flushed so I adjusted it in Photoshop.

All of the following photos were taken on a custom WB mode of K=5000. It brought more of a natural skin tone which I have struggled like crazy with. I'm sure there is more tweaking I could do but I am very pleased with the results and am very excited that I know how to customize my White Balance!
